It truly is a STEM Minds winter wonderland with our amazing Winter Camp! Spend your holiday break exploring the exciting world of STEM through a variety of exciting hands-on activities and projects.

Each day we will explore a new STEM topic to find your passions and be inspired!

With our Virtual Winter Camp, a full week or single-day options are available to meet your needs.

We look forward to having you with us for an amazing journey of fun and learning!

Onboarding Information:

You will receive all onboarding information at least 24 hours prior to the start of camp.

Please add [email protected] to your approved contacts list in order to ensure you receive all email communications. 

You are responsible for reviewing the onboarding email in detail and being prepared for the camp.


 

Monday, December 21 | 3D Design

Explore the exciting world of 3D design as we create a variety of hands-on projects.

In order to participate in this camp, you will require a laptop/computer/Chromebook with an internet connection. An iPad/tablet can be used but is not recommended.


Tuesday, December 22 | Coding with Python

Learn a new language; the language of code! We will explore Python through a variety of fun and creative code projects.

In order to participate in this camp, you will require a laptop/computer/Chromebook with an internet connection. An iPad/tablet will NOT be sufficient.


Wednesday, December 23 | Video Game Design with MakeCode Arcade

Why just play video games when you can create your own? We will be coding retro-style video games with MakeCode Arcade!

In order to participate in this camp, you will require a laptop/computer/Chromebook with an internet connection. An iPad/tablet may be used but is not recommended.


Thursday, December 24 | Minecraft

Build a whole new world in Minecraft! We will explore a variety of exciting engineering build challenges in Minecraft to put your design skills to the test.

In order to participate in this camp, you will require a laptop/computer/Chromebook with an internet connection. An iPad/tablet may be used but is not recommended.

You will also need to download the Minecraft for Education software by clicking here. This page is also where you can view whether or not your device is compatible.


Monday, December 28 | Coding with Micro:Bit

Get hands-on with code as we create a variety of fun, playable games with Micro:Bit!

In order to participate in this camp, you will require a laptop/computer/Chromebook with an internet connection. An iPad/tablet can be used but is not recommended.


Tuesday, December 29 | Animation

Let's explore our creativity by creating our own animated short films!

In order to participate in this camp, you will require a laptop/computer/Chromebook with an internet connection. An iPad/tablet will NOT be sufficient.


Wednesday, December 30 | Computer Music

Computer Music is where the intersection of STEM and the arts comes to life! We will learn the fundamentals of music as we create our own songs (no previous experience is required!).

In order to participate in this camp, you will require a laptop/computer/Chromebook with an internet connection. An iPad/tablet can be used but is not recommended.


Thursday, December 31 | Video Game Design with Flowlab

Why just play video games when you can create your own? We will be creating our own platformer games with Flowlab as we explore the world of video game design.

In order to participate in this camp, you will require a laptop/computer/Chromebook with an internet connection. An iPad/tablet will NOT be sufficient.

 

All students ages 4-7 must be supervised by an adult for the duration of their class.


Monday, December 21 | 3D Design

Learn a new language; the language of code! We will explore the fundamentals of code with Kodable through a variety of fun, hands-on challenges and puzzles.

In order to participate in this camp, you will require either:

  1. A laptop/computer/Chromebook with an internet connection.
  2. An iPad with the Kodable app downloaded. App is not available on Android devices. Requires iOS 9.0 or later. Click here to download. If you choose to use your tablet as your main workstation, you will require a secondary device in order to view the instructor.

All logins will be provided to you at the start of the class.


Wednesday, December 23 | Video Game Design with Bloxels

Why just play video games when you can create your own? We will be creating our own platformer games with Bloxels as we explore the world of video game design.

In order to participate in this camp, you will require either:

  1. A laptop/computer/Chromebook with an internet connection.

Thursday, December 24 | Junior LEGO Builders

Explore the exciting world of engineering as we complete a hands-on build challenge.

In order to participate in this camp, you will require a laptop/computer/Chromebook/iPad/tablet with an internet connection in order to view the instructor. You will also require your own LEGO at home (no specific LEGO is needed).


Monday, December 28 | Coding with Scratch Jr

Learn a new language; the language of code! We will explore the fundamentals of code with Scratch Jr. as we create our own animated stories

In order to participate in this camp, you will require either an iPad or tablet with the Scratch Jr app downloaded. You will also require a secondary device in order to view the instructor.
